Yoga is one of the only approaches to health that assists in keeping your body healthy, strong, and flexible while simultaneously providing mental clarity and emotional well-being. Available to any level of experience, we combine ancient tradition with innovation. Encouraging and forward-looking, we offer a wide variety of classes; you're sure to find one to suit your needs.  If you come, breathe, and try your best, you’ll notice immediate benefits.

Therapeutic vinyasa is a step up in awareness, capability and movement to gentle, integrated, flowing movements and poses, called vinyasa. This is combined with restful, static exercise, therapeutic poses and a final meditation. This is gentle exercise, not intended to be active or powerful. It is suitable for clients wanting a gentle stretching, flexibility and balance workout with opportunity for individual adaptation.

Gentle vinyasa is a soft flowing, enjoyable, flexibility building eclectic exercise routine which involves awareness of the breath with every movement. It is suitable for those beginning a yoga routine, getting back to some exercise, needing to take more care of themselves and their body and mind. Adaptation is made for injury or illness. No stress or strain should be experienced during gentle vinyasa. This is often chosen by seniors as an unstressful, satisfying way of keeping mind and body attuned. Doctors have recommended this routine twice a week.

Vinyasa is a faster flow of positions from sitting to kneeling to standing to lying, with longer holding of positions and some more advanced yoga asanas including arm balances. This is more challenging, requiring an entry level of flexibility and reasonable fitness, but is open to all as a challenging, motivating physical exercise combined with breathing awareness and a long culminating meditation.

This yoga is specifically designed for women going thru painful moon cycle, or who are peri-menopausal or menopausal. It involves therapeutic yoga positions designed to alleviate pressure in the abdominal/ conceptional region while encouraging muscular flexibility and physical and mental stress relief. These sessions will consist of therapeutic and women's yoga positions which allow the client to sink into stretching, twisting and relaxation positions benefiting the discomfort and bloating which come each cycle. Meditation and breathing awareness allowing the diaphragm to expand and relax are an integral part of these sessions. Our emotions and physical awareness can be controlled through our breathing. When we learn how we are breathing and how to breathe more effectively and efficiently we can have more control over our physical being. We can oxygenate our joints, our bones, our muscles, ligaments, cartilage and soft organs while entering a relaxation of the mind, a calming of our senses, a finding of peace. If this is combined with an appropriate lifestyle, which often evolves from this experience, we can look towards a more satisfying, positive and healthy life.
